No-Sew Quilted Ornaments

Time: 10 am to 2 pm

Do you love fabric but don’t sew? Are you interested in a new take on holiday ornaments?  In this workshop you will learn to make a beautiful fabric ornament that requires no sewing--just a foam ball, fabric and lots of straight pins. Several fabric color/pattern options will be available.

No experience needed, although good fine motor skills in your fingers are important. Suitable for ages 14 and up.

REGISTRATION FEE:  $40 ($36 for HSV members)

MATERIALS FEE:  $20 materials fee (cash or Venmo, payable directly to the instructor)  

Instructor: A basket maker since 1995, Sandy Salada weaves a variety of baskets, including patterns of her own design, patterns by other teachers, and reproductions of cultural and historical baskets. Sandy teaches basket-weaving and other classes like this one in her home studio as well as at Shaker Heritage Society in Watervliet, New York, and at Hancock Shaker Village.
