The weekend includes five remarkable meals and an unforgettable roots concert in a Shaker barn. Add in a hike up Monument Mountain, goat yoga, and daily body alignment work, and you have the recipe for a deeply nourishing experience. Join us for an immersive experience that is anchored in wellness.

You can join us for the entire weekend, or select days that work for you. Don’t miss out on the most relaxing and stimulating weekend of the summer, all on a 750-acre historic Shaker village and the oldest working farm in the Berkshires.

Here's what each ticket gets you:

Entire Program  Want a fully immersive experience? The Emerging Tastes: Whole Program ticket gets you access to everything this retreat, and the village has to offer.

Thursday evening — The retreat kicks off at 6 pm with a guided stroll through the Shaker’s medical herb garden, drawing inspiration for the evening’s cocktails and apothecaries.

Friday all day — The morning begins by opening our senses and aligning our bodies with Penelope Shure of Shifting Stances. Then, a foraging walk offers an interpretive history of our place and sharing of Shaker wisdom which leads to a picnic lunch where we explore the language of flavor. Then we’ll explore the farm, the garden, and the village before turning to historic and current kitchen medicine. Finally, we’ll ascend into the heavens, or at least a good walk into the mountains, before returning for an evening feast by the fire.
*Please note, your Friday all day ticket includes the Friday evening dinner.

Friday evening — A really good dinner at Briarcliff. One part Shaker vegetables, one part classic motor lodge with a contemporary twist. Mix in an open fire cookout and our chef, local beer, wine, and craft cocktails, and you have a recipe for a really good dinner. This dinner supports Hancock Shaker Village. This dinner does not include admission into Hancock Shaker Village.

Saturday all day We start with morning meditation and yoga (the Goat kind), then we’ll explore at the past, present and future of the kitchen, including the Shaker’s role in creating much of the modern tools we use. After lunch and time exploring the village, we’ll look at seeds, both the literal ones that help us grow food and the Shaker role in breading and creating the seed trade and also the modern ones that help us live more sustainability, including the new practices, have taken root at the village and new ideas that are changing how we think about food. We’ll learn a bit more about the ingredients that we’ve continued to grow and use including in our hyperlocal dinner. Then it’s off to the 1910 barn for a performance by The Mammals and time to say goodnight and goodbye.
